Long Island Bead Society was founded in 2003
by award winning, noted artist, Caren Schwartz.
Before LIBS, there were no formal
beading groups on Long Island, no guest artist workshops and no
place to learn and regularly share knowledge and enjoy the company of others
who love beadwork.
Collected funds and donated supplies are used
for Long Island Bead Society's general operation and
other activities. We do not have paid employees – all LIBS operations are
performed by volunteers. You will not find Rules of Order or Parliamentary
Procedures here, but you will find great people who share a passion for
beadwork and who believe that above all, beading should be fun.

Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of most months
at Stringin’ Along Studio,
with both a morning meeting
from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
AND
an evening meeting
from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
